Applications are now open for AIM-CC 2026

The Kazakhstan Sociology Lab and the Laboratory for Social and Cognitive Informatics (SCILA), in partnership with Nazarbayev University, invite applications for the Young Scholar Conference & Research Summer School “AI & Methods in Computational Communication (AIM-CC 2026)” to be held in Astana, Kazakhstan on August 8-16, 2026.

The event brings together an international community of scholars working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computational social science, and communication research. Participants will receive intensive methodological training and the opportunity to develop their own research projects under the guidance of leading instructors, including Taha Yasseri (Professor, Trinity College Dublin, SOHAM), Ivan Smirnov (University of Technology Sydney), Miriam Schirmer (Link Lab, NorthWestern University), Basak Taraktas (Bogazici University) and others.
