Mikhail Sokolov and Alexey Zheleznov will give public lectures as part of the School of Sociologists workshop.

On June 4th, public lectures by Mikhail Sokolov and Alexey Zheleznov from the European University in St. Petersburg will be held as part of the School of Sociologists workshop.

The lectures are available through pre-registration.

Mikhail Sokolov is a professor at the Faculty of Sociology, European University in St. Petersburg, and a professor of practice at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.


The topic of his lecture is "The Art of Academic (In)attention: Theoretical Model in Search of Algorithmic Embodiment."


The lecture will start at 10:00 AM, and the participation format is online (the link will be sent via email).

● Alexey Zheleznov is a researcher at the Center for Institutional Analysis of Science and Education at the European University in St. Petersburg.


The topic of his lecture is "Elements of Science Policy: The Russian Case Between Quality and Quantity."

The lecture will start at 2:30 PM and will be held offline at 2a Bokeykhan Street, Nazarbayev Center-2, and online (the link will be sent via email).
